After dedicating more than 15 years in the healthcare business and working for larger and smaller organizations, public and privately-held, I decided it was time to start my own business a couple of months ago.While enjoying my various roles and organizational progress tremendously, there always has been this pesky feeling in the back of my mind that it would be a great experience to set up a company from scratch. Benefiting from many learnings, both from successes as well as the mental scars from failures, it has been refreshing, daunting, stimulating, and at times intimidating to do this.
Feedback on the proposition of Arcas (now MDoutlook) has been very good. Medical thoughtleader as well as parties with a commercial interest (pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and service providers) support my belief that the connectivity and relationships between these two key players in healthcare are in need of improvement, such as:
- Adopting a more strategic approach to relationships, resulting in better leveraged and improved utilization of resources (more efficient and effective);
- Developing more professional and purposeful interaction that plays on the strengths and true added value of each party;
- Better structured connectivity that aims to eliminate potential conflicts of interest;
- Creating a longer term approach that allows for improved performance tracking and stronger relationships.
As we continue to build the proposition and services of Arcas, so far it has already been a very inspiring and busy first few months. Developing the proposition, website, marketing materials, and infrastructure were only the first building blocks. Market introduction of Arcas has led to the two first projects. We have many exciting plans and look forward to connecting with you to explore how we can support your business.
It has been a great experience so far and I look forward to many more!
