With 25 years of senior leadership experience in life sciences, Jan brings MDoutlook clients extensive expertise in healthcare business and strategic marketing, ThoughtLeader identification and engagement, business consulting, organizational partnerships and medical education.

Jan is a recognized leader, an innovative and strategic thinker who intimately appreciates clients’ strategic needs and opportunities, and understands how to best serve these with effective and efficient tactical solutions. He has managed and overseen hundreds of client projects in his career, and to continued client praise. Jan leads the team of MDoutlook to deliver actionable disease intelligence with ThoughtLeader insight.

Prior to establishing MDoutlook, Jan spent 5 years in increasing leadership positions at Imedex, an accredited medical education company. In his most recent role as President, Jan drove the integration of The American School of Oncology and Imedex into one organization focused on producing global continuing education in oncology, hematology, psychiatry, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, cardiology, and urology.

Previously, Jan led a team of consultants at Cambridge Pharma Consultancy, a subsidiary of IMS Health. As Engagement Director, Jan provided international strategic consulting to pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the areas of M&A, licensing, and marketing strategy. He was Consultant for Robert Pino & Company in the Netherlands, a subsidiary of Berenschot, focused on product strategy and responsible for establishing its healthcare practice.

Jan started his career as Project Manager with Altana in the sales of cardiovascular products before joining Organon as International Product Manager. At Organon, Jan was responsible for the commercialization of psychiatry products, and directed the global launch of Remeron leading to $1b+ in annual sales.

Jan holds a Masters degree in Medicine from University of Amsterdam, and MBA / MBI degrees from Rotterdam School of Management / University of Michigan. He resides in Atlanta, GA.
